American Express' Environmental Commitment

Financial services institution American Express announced several initiatives aimed at climate well-being, including plans to provide new solutions that help corporate clients measure, manage and offset the carbon footprint of their operations.

The New York-based company with more than 170 years of history expressed its intentions to offer new digital products and services to help customers understand their carbon footprint.



“We are delighted to kick off Earth Month by introducing a new series of offerings that will enable our corporate customers to make carbon-conscious decisions, and support community organizations doing important work to advance a low-carbon future,” he said. American Express committed to having net zero carbon emissions by 2035, hand in hand with the Science Based Targets initiative. Its global operations are powered by 100% renewable electricity in order to remain a carbon neutral company.
